Launch day is finally here! You can now purchase your own copy of the Triangular quilt pattern over in my shop! To celebrate the release of the Triangular Quilt Pattern, all patterns will be 20% through July 27th! No code needed!
Watch this quick video to learn about the Triangular Quilt Pattern:
The Triangular quilt pattern comes in 4 different sizes: wall hanging, baby, throw, and bed size. All the blocks are the same size, so it’s easy to make it your own if you want a size not listed in the pattern.
I love how this pattern is great for fat quarters or even scraps too! You’ll see some examples below using Fat Quarters and scraps, and also some other examples using yardage. The pattern is specifically written using Fat Quarters but it is easy to switch it up!
Triangular Quilt Skill Level
The pattern does involve some pretty small pieces and requires accurate and precise piecing, so for that reason I’ve determined to label it as an “intermediate” level pattern. It’s really good for like maybe a 3rd or 4th quilt once you have some of the basics down. If you want a pattern that’s a little bit easier and quicker, Connector is a good option for you!
The Triangular Quilt Pattern pattern focuses in on the Half Square Triangle! If you’ve never tried making Half Square Triangles using the 4-at-a-time method, check out this blog post or watch this video:
Pattern Tester Quilts
The Triangular Quilt pattern would not be half as great as it is without my amazing pattern testers! Here are some of their awesome versions of the quilt top:
Stephanie’s version (@octoberinthewild) brings all the drama and definitely makes me consider using darker background fabrics!
This baby size by Shalini @fuzzygnome is another fantastic way to incorporate a darker background fabric!
Did you know that you can make this with just two colors instead of fat quarters? Check out how amazing it looks in this fun version by Ashley (@ashley_quilts)
Laura @sharingseams made some wall hanging magic using a few scraps of Cotton+Steel basics!
I love this 2-color Wall Hanging by Ashlee @crinklyquilts! The gold binding just really pops, and I love how it shows a print as the background fabric!
Emily @lemonyquilts proved that scraps are perfect for this quilt in her gorgeous version!
Which of these versions is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
