Regardless of your political beliefs, I think most of us can agree that if it weren’t for the hundreds of thousands of people who have been willing to serve in the military to protect our homeland, America would not be what it is today. I have such high regard for the amazing service men and women, and I wanted to make some patriotic quilts to express my respect and appreciation.
Over the past few months I’ve had this amazing opportunity to partner with one of my favorite veterans (my mom!) on a project where we can give back to some incredible service men & women. Today I’m going to share with you 3 ways we made Patriotic quilts using the AccuQuilt Go! I hope they spark some inspiration for you!
If you love precise quilts and endless possibilities, this blog post is for you as I walk you through a little of my love for the versatility that comes from using AccuQuilt Qubes!
I got an AccuQuilt fabric cutting machine a few months ago and I really just can’t stop dreaming up projects to make with it. I want to make everything I see! Since getting my AccuQuilt fabric cutting machine I have had a ton of fun making a Pillow/Wall Hanging Duo and also some adorable Baby Shower Gifts, just to name a few! My most recent AccuQuilt finish is my 12 Block Sampler Quilt!
The Birds Hill Quilt Pattern by @theblanketstatement is a fun, modern twist on a simple, versatile, quilt block – the Half Square Triangle, also known as the “HST”. For anyone new to quilting, the HST is a total staple and one of my BFF quilt blocks.
I was lucky enough to be a pattern tester for Erin on this project and I am really thrilled with how my baby size Birds Hill Quilt turned out! I’m writing this blog post for you so I can share my experience with the pattern, tips & tricks to make it easier, AND how to make it SUPER easy by cutting the pieces with an AccuQuilt Go! fabric cutting machine.
