Jubilant Quilt Sew Along

Are you ready for your next quilty challenge? Join the Jubilant Sew Along!

From March 6 – April 9, 2023 I’ll be hosting a Sew Along to make a modern geometric triangle quilt pattern – the Jubilant Quilt Pattern! Each week we will make small bits of progress towards making a completed quilt top!

Of course, there will be PRIZES each week, and I’ll be showing up weekly in emails & videos to discuss the progress and help you along the way. Keep reading to find out all the details.

Jubilant Quilt Pattern and Sew Along video

Want to learn about the pattern and sew along without reading every little detail? Here’s a video to check out — just sit back and relax while I spill all the tea!

Jubilant Quilt Pattern

The Jubilant Quilt Pattern is a modern geometric triangle quilt using Half Rectangle Triangles made in the most simple way. It’s the perfect pattern for an intermediate quilter, or a confident beginner looking to continue growing their skillset! You will also gain confidence in sewing the components into quilt blocks, adding sashing, and adding borders. If you want to join this Sew Along, be sure to grab the Jubilant quilt pattern in my shop! (pro tip: you’ll get a coupon code emailed to you when you sign up for the Sew Along!)

I offer both PDF download patterns and printed paper patterns. You can also get a quilt kit too! Check out more details further below!

Jubilant Quilt Sew Along Schedule

Over the next 5 weeks we will make progress towards a pieced Jubilant Quilt top. You can choose to make any size of the Jubilant Quilt pattern! I’ll be making a Throw Size.

Here’s the breakdown of the schedule. Please note you’re welcome to work ahead or take it at your own pace! Just post photos of your progress each week to participate!

  • March 6 – 12: Get pattern & fabrics
  • March 13 – 19: Cut fabrics (using rotary cutter or AccuQuilt)
  • March 20 – 26: Make Half Rectangle Triangle Units
  • March 27 – April: Piece Quilt Blocks
  • April 3 – 9: Assemble quilt top and add borders

The quilt comes together super super fast, so you only need to dedicate a short time each week to make your progress. It’s perfect if you’re busy but want some motivation to sew at least a little bit each week.

NOTE: In the past I have also offered a comprehensive video class to correspond with my Sew Alongs. Unfortunately I will not be able to host the complete class for the Jubilant Sew Along. However, I will be sending out tips and tricks via email each week. Make sure you are signed up for the Sew Along to receive the weekly emails!

Jubilant Sew Along Sponsors & Prizes

One of my favorite things about Sew Alongs is getting to give away all kinds of awesome prizes!

Each week of the Sew Along will have its own specific prizes. In order to be entered to win for that week, you must have posted a photo showing your Jubilant Quilt progress to Instagram using #JubilantSAL. Anyone who posts a photo of their Jubilant quilt progress each week will be eligible to win the prizes!

And now I get to give a special shoutout to the PRIZE SPONSORS! Go give these shops and brands a “follow” because they are all truly incredible!

Which Rulers do I need?

The triangles featured in the Jubilant Quilt pattern are unique, but actually a staple in the world of quilting! There’s a chance you might already have the ruler you need, or, if you would prefer not to use a ruler, the pattern does include the template you can use instead.

Triangle-in-a-Square Quilting Ruler Set

The triangle shape used to make the Jubilant Quilt goes by a couple different names in the quilting world, but here are the exact rulers that I have found that will work out. If you know of another that I am missing here, please let me know so I can add it! I personally carry the Triangle in a Square set in my shop, which can also be used for making the Bonanza Quilt pattern!

Want to use AccuQuilt Instead?

The Jubilant Quilt Pattern includes extra bonus instructions for using an AccuQuilt machine to cut fabric for your quilt. You are welcome to use either traditional cutting or the AccuQuilt machine to cut your Jubilant Quilts, and I’ll be here to answer questions about either method.

Not sure if AccuQuilt is right for you? learn more here!

Jubilant Quilt Kits

This pattern is PERFECT for using up scraps or a handful of Fat Quarters that you’ve had laying around, so if you’re like me and you have that gorgeous bundle just waiting for it’s time to shine, this is the quilt to use it on! But for anyone who doesn’t, I’ve got you covered with Jubilant Sew Along Quilt Kits!

A few other shops also have Jubilant Quilt Kits available! Check out Rosie Girl Quilting and Dolly Lou Fabrics for more options.
